What's Going On: 5/10, 5/11, 5/12 & 5/13, 2018

Spain's Hinds play Warsaw on Thursday night with QTY and Sharkmuffin.

Happy Mother's Day!

Lots of fun shows to bring your mom to this weekend.

Things get started on Thursday with Matt Phillips, James Walker, Cranston Dean, and Colton Kayser at The Chubby Pickle in Highlands. Tommy Stinson's BASH & POP play Coney Island Baby NYC in, well, NYC. The Bouncing Souls play the first of two acoustic shows at Crossroads in Garwood with Jared Hart. Debonair Music Hall hosts Quality Living, Ruby Bones, LKFFCT, Delicate Flowers, and Night On The Sun. Sean Kiely releases his new EP at Rockwood Music Hall. Our pals in Sharkmuffin open for Madrid's Hinds at Warsaw in Brooklyn. That one also features QTY.

On Friday, Levy & The Oaks play The Asbury with Small Planet Radio and Julian Fulton. Toy Cars, Dead Swords, Weakened Friends, and Haunt Club play the brewery. House of Independents has something called The Little Mermen who claim to be "New York's favorite live Disney party band," which is a thing, I guess. Rick Barry and The New Rick Barrys are at Langosta with David Ross Lawn and Cat London. Blackberry Smoke play the Pony. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are at White Eagle Hall with Pete International Airport. Hot Blood's run with The Dwarves brings both bands to Wonder Bar.

Asbury Park Brewery hosts Steve Burks, Matty Carlock, Sean Patrick Carney, T. Gunn, Mike Vidal, and Brian Rothenbeck on Saturday. Wolfcock presents Cardinals and Idle Wave at APYC. Exmaid, Bronco II, Daddies, and Of Corpse are at In The West in New Brunswick. The Dwarves and Hot Blood head up to The Kingsland in Brooklyn. Roxy & Dukes hosts the second annual Makin Waves Jam & Groove Fest featuring Experiment 34, P-Funk North, Cook Thugless, and more. The Cranston Dean Band, The Mercury Brothers, and Accidental Seabirds are at The Saint. Halestorm and In This Moment open the Stone Pony Summer Stage along with New Years Day and Stitched Up Heart. Suburban Living, Surf Rock Is Dead, and Russian Baths are at Union Pool. Rachel Anna Dobken opens up for Scott Sharrard at Wonder Bar along with Mike Montrey Band.

For Mother's Day, Omni, EZTV, and Rips are at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn. It's Night 2 of The Bouncing Souls and Jared Hart at Crossroads. Zeta, SICK SHIT, Alumine, Ditz, and Kill Yr. Idolz play The Saint. Yazan celebrates a new EP at Trans-Pecos in Brooklyn with Lifted Bells, Bethlehem Steel, and Fire Is Motion. Rival Sons, Welles, and MoTHER are at White Eagle Hall.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. You do so much and take so much crap from all of us. Please have a wonderful day. Everybody be nice to a mom this weekend. And don't drink and drive.
