"Office Rage"
I got the chance to see Philadelphia post-punk trio, Control Top, for two nights earlier this month when they opened for Titus Andronicus. I may have mentioned at the time that I loved their set both nights. In Jersey City, singer / bassist Ali Carter talked briefly about how rage isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can be a great motivator, and screaming together as a crowd at a punk show can feel good.
Today, the band released a video for "Office Rage" from their Covert Contracts LP. The song, well, rages. Screaming, "Service with a smile? EAT SHIT!" along with the band at a punk show feels good, and it feels pretty good to scream it along with the frantic video.
Control Top will be on tour throughout November. Covert Contracts is out now on Get Better Records, and you should buy it.
