Still kicking myself over missing the Very Fresh release show this past weekend.
*Homer voice* "Stupid family!"
No. I kid the CoolFamily. We had a wonderful Sunday night.
Still, though, Very Fresh's Hey, It's Me! remains in heavy rotation for me. I also have a soft spot for covers. Those things come together today with Very Fresh's take on Garbage's "Only Happy When It Rains."
Recorded by Ben Scherer and mastered by Carl Saff, Very Fresh's cover stays pretty faithful to the original, which was always one of my favorite 90s alt-rock hits. Cindy Lou Gooden does her own version of the big, brash Shirley Manson vocal -- minus the slight hint of a Scottish accent.
Check it out below at your leisure -- maybe even over a nice dinner with your family.
