"Gun in Hand"
Freehold four-piece, We're Ghosts Now, are back with a new single; and we're happy to be able to share it with you today.
"Gun in Hand" finds the band moving on a bit from the Americana influences that peppered some of their earlier work into more straight-up alt-rock territory. The song features layers of over-driven guitars that never let up as the tension builds. I've seen We're Ghosts Now play to some very enthusiastic crowds, and "Gun in Hand" feels like a song that will push those crowds over the edge.
"It's a song about being launched forward into the spiral of life, making the right decisions one step at a time, not succumbing to the current, but using it to guide you," says drummer Jake Resnick; and that feeling of forward momentum is certainly present throughout the song.
