Premiere: New Song from The Paper Jets

The Paper Jets

"Chatter"

The Paper Jets have been a going concern for a good while now. As a live band, the Princeton-based group have made regular incursions into the Asbury Park and New Brunswick music scenes and toured up and down the East Coast. The band have a full-length (2014's We Are All Strange Friends) and an EP (2015's Almost Nine) under their belts. Frontman and sometimes CoolDad Music contributor, Brian Erickson, has been a relentless supporter of the NJ music scene over the last several years as a band member, as a solo performer, as a promoter, and as a journalist. If you attend shows in the area, it's likely you've seen him out and about or been to one of his events.

The Paper Jets have been hard at work on their next album, Everyday Forever; and today we're able to share the first taste of that effort with you in the form of "Chatter."

In addition to Erickson on keys and vocals, the line-up for "Chatter" consists of Frank Lettieri Jr on drums, Mike Virok on guitar and Scott Austin Miller on bass. Lettieri handled production and mixing duties, and the result on "Chatter" is a bit of a departure for the band. The Paper Jets trade their power-pop-influenced alt-rock for something a little more ambient and synth-driven.

Check out "Chatter" right here and look for Everyday Forever later this year.
